Symposium.Sciss ![]() Sciss aka Hanns Holger Rutz (b. 1977) began to create electronic and noise music around 1999. Between 1999 and 2004, he studied computer music at the Electronic Studio of the Technical University Berlin. Since 2004, he composes, researches and teaches at the Studio for electroacoustic Music (SeaM) in Weimar. His electroacoustic works include CD-albums (e.g. "Residual" 2002) and E.P.s (e.g. "Crosshatch" 2004), multichannel concert pieces (e.g. "Strahlung" 2006), works with video ("Achronie" 2002, with video by Cem Akkan), and installation pieces ("Zelle 148", Erfurt 2006, "Rigid String Geometry", Weimar/Berlin 2006, among others). Live-electronic works encompass solo performances, varying duo projects, the ChromaticField trio, and a quartet with Ludger Hennig, Markus Markowski and Johannes Sienknecht. Since 1999, development of audio software (including SwingOSC and Eisenkraut). |
